Web Site Special from The Roadster Factory
INTRODUCTION BY CHARLES
In this Web Site Special, The Roadster Factory is offering wonderful pricing on its full range of convertible
tops, boots, and tonneau covers. Tops and tonneau covers are always genuine Robbins brand. Boots and side
curtain rebuilds are products of The Magic Carpet Factory. Because of the huge effort required for producing
them, side curtain rebuilds are never put on sale. Tops and tonneau covers in Robbins basic material are priced
as low as possible during this sale period, and excellent sale pricing is also offered on components in British
Everflex and Sunfast canvas materials. I generally prefer Everflex myself, and my TR3A has top, side curtains,
and tonneau cover in white Everflex. One advantage of Everflex and Sunfast materials is that they remain
much more flexible in cold weather. Another advantage of Everflex is that it is most like original materials used
by Triumph and MG, especially on earlier models.
TRF offers its tops and tonneau covers in more material and colour choices than other suppliers. In part, this is
possible because we arrange to have each component made to order. This takes a little longer, but customers are
always sure of receiving a product that is fresh from the Robbins factory rather than having been packed in a box
for a year or more. Albert places orders for made-to-order products on the first day that they are received at TRF,
and TRF does not charge backordered parts until the actual day they are shipped to customers.
The Roadster Factory also offers a full range of convertible top boots, also known as "hood stick covers" on
earlier models. All of TRF’s boots are sewn by The Magic Carpet Factory, and great effort was made to produce
perfect patterns for these products. If you are considering the purchase of a convertible top boot, please read the
introductory material in each section for additional information.
The Side Curtain Rebuilding Program is continuing this year with a number of sets in the pipeline. TRF does
side curtains right, and really, The Roadster Factory is the best source of high-quality side curtains for Triumph TR2
and TR3 models. The end product is probably better than original, and side curtains can be rebuilt in any material
that you specify, therefore matching your convertible top even if it is made from custom material. Detailing is
amazing, right down to the correct logos etched onto the plastic window materials. The side curtain rebuilding
process includes work by a number of different shops and individuals along the way, with final recovering of the
restored and repainted frames by workers at The Magic Carpet Factory. If the cost of side curtain rebuilding seems
high, you should consider that it would be cheap at twice the price when all of the work required to produce a pair
of side curtains is taken into consideration. The initial cost is high, but side curtains rebuilt by TRF will last a very
long time if you care for them properly.
Tops, tonneau covers, convertible top boots, and side curtains are made to order for each customer, although we
do stock popular black tops and tonneau covers whenever possible. There is a lead time, but it is generally not
longer than six weeks for tops and tonneau covers. Boots can happen even more quickly, but side curtains make so
many stops in the process that it is likely to take eight weeks or more.
If you are looking to purchase any of the products listed in this Web Site Special, now is a good time to act. As
always, we are ready to help in any way that we can with your order. Free samples of actual materials are provided
upon request, provided that you let us know the specific colours that you would like to see.
Thank you for visiting the TRF web site again this week. I hope you like what you see...

The real benefit of TRF Car Club to The Roadster Factory is the promotion of
customer loyalty. The Roadster Factory works very hard to continue the availability
of Triumph and MGB components by contracting the manufacture of every item that
looks like a valid project. Looking at this effort as a mutual enterprise involving
both the company and its customers creates a powerful partnership for getting things
done. You get a lot of benefit from joining TRF Car Club, but the best benefit of all
is helping to support the future of the car models you love.
You can join TRF Car Club by phone, by fax, by mail, or on-line. When joining
on-line, order part no. TRFCCMEMBER at a cost of $100.00. The shipping charge
