As Triumph became more used to life in the modern world, the seats became more luxurious and
less homemade in appearance. All of the later Spitfire seats evolved from this design which was
obviously quicker to build at the factory. It is also easier to rebuild at home.
If you plan to do the work yourself, carefully disassemble your old seat noting all details, making
notes, and taking photographs. When I do this sort of work, it usually ends up as a catalogue
illustration. Save the old stuff until you have the new kit in hand, and then compare carefully to
know if the kit will replace your old components exactly.
TRF's supplier has worked hard to reproduce original material grains and colours to allow you to
keep your car as original as possible. Material and colour samples are available for free upon request.
