SIGNAL LAMPS, Spitfire mks.1, 2, 3
The factory parts book and the Lucas catalogues are a little bit vague as to which
turn signal lamps were fitted to the Spitfire mk.3 in 1968 and 1969.
In the factory book, three different lamps were listed up to FD/FDU75000. The
lamps appear to be the same but different combinations of clear and amber lenses were
fitted. Typically there would be notations as to when a change was made, or in which
markets a particular lamp would have been used. That isn't the case in this instance.
In the Lucas book, three lamps were listed with change points by year as listed
below. All the lamps carry the same model number 677 so please study the listings
carefully and compare the lamps and lenses listed here to those fitted to your car.
