Triumph supplied tonneau covers for TR6 models in black and white only. The listings for
tonneau covers in the factory catalogues are somewhat confusing. Early TR6 tonneau covers
may have had tan backing, but later tonneau covers were marked on the back with the familiar
markings for fire-proof material. Later tonneau covers had little flaps over the zippers to keep
them from leaking in the rain. I am not sure if early tonneau covers included this feature. I
believe that all TR6 factory tonneau covers were fitted with a strap on the passenger's side
which secured to a snap on the seat to keep the tonneau cover from flapping in the wind if the
car was driven with the passenger's side still snapped in place.
The Roadster Factory supplies Robbins brand tonneau covers. Robbins tonneau covers
are very nice, but they do not have the zipper protection flaps or the strap described above.
We may begin offering an alternative tonneau cover of our own manufactured by The Magic
Carpet Factory in British Everflex material as time goes on. These will include all of the
features of the original factory tonneau covers, but they will supplement rather than replace the
range of Robbins brand tonneau covers listed in this section.
