Soft-top stowage covers, or convertible top boots as we often call them here in the U.S.
were supplied by the factory to match interior colours on all TR6 models. Although convertible
top boots matched interiors, they were made of outdoor material such as that used on
convertible tops and tonneau covers. For companies currently manufacturing convertible top
boots, there is a problem in matching interior colours with exterior grade vinyls. This problem
is solved or not solved in various ways through the listings provided below.
The Triumph factory supplied convertible top boots of three types for the TR6, one for
models with soft top and no hard top, one for models with both soft tops and hard tops for use
in covering the folded soft top only when the hard top was also fitted to the car, and one that
could be used for covering the soft top whether or not the hard top was fitted. At the present
time, only the first of these three types is available, but it fulfills the needs of the vast majority
