Please Note:
To comply with ever changing safety legislation in the mid-1970's,
Triumph was forced to change seat-belt interlock features, including electrical details such
as seat-sensor switches, at the beginning of each successive model year from 1973 up to
1976. The result is that the part numbers for seats vary according to whether or not they
contain seat-sensor switches, and for some model years, the sensor switch is located in
the L.H. seat, and for others, it is located in the R.H. seat. For yet another model year,
both seats may contain the switches. This point may be considered moot anyway, as no
complete seat assemblies are available at the time of writing. However, we do not rule
out the possibility that we may be able to supply complete seat assemblies at some
future date. Nonetheless, we are listing only one part number for each separate seat
based upon the colour of the seat and the side of the car to which it may be fitted. Each
of these, now theoretical, seats may be assumed to contain a seat sensor switch which
may be used or not used according to the requirements of the specific models to which a
replacement seat is to be fitted.
