LUCAS MODEL 15ACR ALTERNATORS
Please Note:
Lucas Model 15ACR alternators were fitted to U.S.
TR6 models up until the end of the 1970 model year and to
non-U.S. TR6 models up until the end of the 1971 model year.
The alternators which were fitted officially are listed below, but
individual cars may have been fitted with other 15ACR
alternators. If it is possible, you should start by determining the
Lucas part number of an alternator needing repair. The Lucas
part number is found on an aluminium tag fixed to the body of
the alternator next to the plastic rear cover, but these tags are
often removed from rebuilt alternators. If the alternator in hand
had a different part number from those listed below or if you are
unable to determine the part number, call The Roadster Factory
for assistance. The best course of action for most individual
enthusiasts is to fit a rebuilt alternator of the correct specification
for the model and year of the car.
