Rebuilt units are reconditioned by a large national supplier which provides such
components to TRF, to some of our competitors, and to auto parts stores nationwide.
The quality is generally all right, but I do not consider it anything to brag about. What
it is is a quick-and-easy way to get a working component back into your car. This is
not what I do myself, as I have my old units rebuilt by an old Lucas shop which still
exists here in our area. I get to keep my old unit, and I can specify that I want a long-
lasting rebuild, albeit at a higher cost. If this interests you, please see the sections on
