We at TRF became confused a few years ago, because of a large number of no-name
bearings on the market, some from third world countries. They came in when we
ordered bearings, and we tried them. But we didn't like them, and we decided not to use
them in components that we rebuild at C.A.R. Components. That led to another
problem--We don't sell parts to our customers that we wouldn't use ourselves. I
decided that I couldn't sell bearings that I consider questionable to my customers.
Therefore, we assigned new part numbers to certain high-quality bearings, and those are
the ones we are offering now. Yes, they are more expensive. The best parts nearly
always are. How expensive is it to do the job over? How expensive is a job that
doesn't last? Actually, I have been extremely well pleased. We find that we have sold
many more kits since we began listing the better bearing kits, and customers tell us
they are glad to buy the original brand components...
Kits also include additional components not found in cheaper kits sold elsewhere.
