Attempting to Remove the Hub Flange Yourself"
A special tool is required to remove the rear hub flange from the stub axle, and the
right expertise is needed to properly reassemble the hub. C.A.R. Components has both
the correct tool and the level of expertise to do the job right. Trying to remove the hub
flange with the wrong tools can result in a bent flange, making the hub core
unrebuildable. Too many customers have learned this the hard way. Many customers
prefer to send their hubs in first, rather than paying a core charge. Turnaround time for

Note: Axle shaft end float must be set to between .004 and .006" by fitting and
removing shims while checking end float with a dial indicator. Please refer to your shop
manual for specific instructions.
