GEARBOX COUNTERSHAFT GEARS
An uprated first and reverse countershaft gear has become available for the TR4 and
TR4A gearboxes. The uprated gear is a new gear that has been modified to accept two
rear bearings to increase the load carrying capacity of the original gear for longer life.
New bearings are included and pre-fitted to the uprated gears. Both the uprated and
standard gears are listed below.

Over the years we have found that readily available countershafts were not made as
hard as they should be and that they are often not machined correctly. We at TRF have
solved the problem of knowing whether we are selling good countershafts by having our
own shafts made at a U.S. manufacturer with high standards of quality. While this adds
to the cost of the part, we find that most customers are willing to pay a little more for a
critical part they can trust.
