“Two-piece Jump Seats as Fitted to Small Mouth TR3's”
Beginning at commission no. TS8637, Triumph offered jump seats as an option on
the small mouth TR3 model. This corresponded with a redesign of the fuel tank.
These
early jump seats were in two pieces with a seat cushion and a seat back or "squab"
while later TR3A models had only a seat cushion. Because of the shape of the fuel
tanks, th
e two-piece jump seat listed here cannot be used in the TR2. Jump seats had
vertical pleating to match the front seats, and they have white piping as original. The
seat assembly sat on iron legs bolted to brackets on the underside of the rear deck and
to the floors.
TRF supplies jump seats in either leather or vinyl, and as complete ready-to-fit
units or as recovering kits. Material and colour samples are available for free upon
