COMMISSION NUMBER PLATES
“It is important to know the commission number and model year
of your car...”
All TR2, TR3 and TR3A cars had commission numbers that were prefixed "TS",
and it is important to know your exact commission number so you can order the correct
parts for your car. TS60000 is a number where a lot of things changed on TR3A, but
there are other important change points. TS4002 was the first TR2 made with sills and
TS22014 was the first TR3A.

TRACING YOUR CAR'S HISTORY
“Useful Information to Have if You Are Restoring Your Car to
Original, Interesting to Know Even if You Aren't...”
You can order a birth certificate for your TR2 or TR3 (or most other British cars)
through the British Motor Museum. To do this you must know the commission number
of your car. The easiest way to order a birth certificate is to go to their web site at
https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/archive/heritage-certificates to order heritage
certificates. Payment can be made by credit card. All available information about your
car will be provided. Typical information includes build date, exterior colour, interior
specification, body numbers (in some cases), final delivery destination, and options.
Please note that only available data can be provided.
