BONNET HARDWARE AND FITTINGS, TR2, TR3 AFTER
COMM. NO. TS4228
This section lists parts fitted after comm. no. TS4228 and avoids, for now, the
earliest cable-operated bonnet latch. Hinges painted in body colour were also fitted up
to this point, and later hinges were chrome plated. The early bonnet details correspond
nearly to the period of the "long door" TR2. Later cars retained the same prop rod and
safety hook, but they went to a simpler latching system utilized Dzus fasteners to latch
the bonnet down.
