OVERDRIVE ELECTRICALS, TR2, TR3
If a car was not fitted with overdrive originally, it is reasonably easy to add it if a
Laycock de Normanville A-type overdrive unit can be acquired in good condition or in
rebuildable condition. The hardest part of the job is replacing the gearbox mainshaft.
Once the A-type overdrive has been located and assembled to the gearbox, handling the
electrical components and wiring is quite easy.
