BRAKE COMPONENTS—GIRLING HYDRAULICS, FITTED
TO TR3B
While most Girling hydraulics fitted to TR3B are identical to those fitted to TR3A,
some variation may be found, as TR4 front brakes were fitted to some or most TR3B
examples. The sure way to tell is to examine the front brake calipers. If the pads are
retained in the calipers with pins right through the caliper bodies, then the car has TR4
brakes, or possibly a different modification made after the car left the dealer. TR4
brake calipers use the same pistons and repair kits as TR3A.
