GEARBOX—GL4 GEAR LUBE, TR2, TR3
GL4 gear lube is not generally available in auto parts stores, but it is the correct
type for older gearboxes and differentials with yellow metal bushes and thrust washers.
Commonly available lubes will actually damage these components. The lube listed here
is formulated especially for classic cars with yellow metal components, and it is
supplied by Brad Penn which operates out of the old Kendall refinery in Bradford,
Pennsylvania, where Kendall, Wolf's Head, and Amalie oils were made. TRF sells one-
thousand quarts of GL4 gear lube every year.
