FUEL SYSTEM—CARBURETTOR HEAT SHIELDS, TR2, TR3
If fuel vaporizes too quickly before it gets into the combustion chamber, the engine
will not run well, a common occurrence during hot weather.  Heat shields protect the
carburettors from heat radiated by the exhaust manifold.  Developed by racers in the
past.  Available to all of us now.
