ENGINE REBUILDING—FRONT AND REAR ENGINE OIL
SEALS, ALL TR2, TR3
Stock seals are listed here which are the types listed in the workshop manuals. As
most enthusiasts are aware, it is difficult to keep the stock rear seal from leaking, and
many "fixes" for this problem have been promoted. The best was devised by a TR4
racer in Germany by the name of Christian Marx. The seal is a high-quality Viton Seal,
and it comes with a new aluminium seal housing. Machining of the crankshaft is NOT
required, and the leaks stop.
