ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT FRONT SWAY
BARS AND ASSOCIATED PARTS
Factory sway bars were optional on 1962-67 MGB roadsters, but 9/16-inch
front bars were were fitted as standard equipment on 1968-74 roadsters. No
sway bars were fitted to roadsters with rubber bumpers until the 1977 model
year, when a 5/8-inch bar appeared again as standard equipment. All MGB-GT
models with chromed bumpers were fitted with 5/8-inch front sway bars as
standard equipment, and all rubber bumper GT's were fitted with 9/16-inch bars
as standard. Optional 3/4-inch front sway bars are also available for anyone
having a use for a heavier bar...
