REBUILDING
SINGLE
CARBS, 1975-80
A lot of people think the Zenith-Stromberg carbs fitted to late MG and
Triumph models are pieces of junk. Actually, they couldn't be further from the
truth, as the Zenith-Stromberg carbs are fine pieces of equipment which allowed
the British car manufacturers to meet U.S. pollution standards. If you take the
time to learn about your Zenith-Stromberg carbs, you can rebuild them to
original performance by purchasing an inexpensive repair kit. If you haven't
worked on Zenith-Stromberg carbs in the past, you should buy the Haynes
workshop manual and the mixture adjusting tool listed in the following section.
If you can't take the time to learn the necessary skills, you can have your carbs
rebuilt by C.A.R. Components at The Roadster Factory. Ask your salesperson
for information if you would like us to rebuild your carb. We seldom see a
Zenith-Stromberg carb that can't be rebuilt using the components listed here...
