PADDED DASH RESTORATION AND
REPAIR, 1968-80 COVERLAY REPAIR KITS
If only the top of your dash is cracked, faded, and sun-damaged, you can
made a reasonable repair at a very low cost with a Coverlay Repair Kit. These
kits provide a very thin hard shell that covers over the top of your dash with a
new moulded plastic surface. Special adhesive and instructions are included.

1968-80 NEW PADDED DASH COVERS
New padded dash covers include complete moulded plastic dash panels
with foam filling. They do not include the metal dash backing. To restore your
dash, you must carefully remove your old padded dash from the metal backing
and install the new assembly with contact cement. Regrettably, no brand new
factory dashes with metal backings are available at this time, and the moulded
dash panels listed in this section are the only viable method of restoring a badly
cracked and sun-damaged dash. The result, however, can be really great if care
is taken to do the work properly...
