GEARBOX REBUILD KITS, TR2, TR3, TR4, TR4A,

"Most of What You Need Under One Part Number"
These kits are pretty amazing, and I well remember when I made the first two
kits for TR250 and TR6.  I set up a catalogue studio in my house and stayed home
all winter writing a very successful catalogue for these models.  It was very hard
work but also very enjoyable.  Anyway, kits include a countershaft, countershaft
thrust washers, all bearings including RHP mainshaft bearings listed above, a set of
synchros, gaskets, and a little bit of hardware.  Everything is what we use in our
own gearbox rebuilds at C.A.R. Components, and all of this is the best.

GEARBOX REBUILDS

TRF includes a department known as C.A.R. Components.  This department
is run by Tom Spadafora a master mechanic who never quits until he knows the
job is done well.  C.A.R. Components is famous for rebuilds of classic TR
engines and gearboxes, but all Triumph gearboxes are now rebuilt to the same
high standard.  Note that we prefer to rebuild your old gearbox, as this insures
that you receive back exactly what you need.  Please feel free to phone Tom
Spadafora at C.A.R. Components to discuss your needs.  Note that it is practical
to keep your original Triumph gearbox for originality and for the thrill of driving
your car the way it was meant to be.
GL4 GEAR LUBE IS BETTER FOR YOUR CAR...
TRF's bottles its own gear lube for British sports cars
because "GL4" gear lube is now supplied only by Castrol in
five gallon buckets.  The reason for wanting to use GL4 is
that it is correct for cars with brass/bronze components.
Later specification gear lubes are said to attack these
components.  So, TRF bottles GL4 gear lube in quart
containers as they are more convenient for shipping and for
use by individual car enthusiasts than five-gallon buckets!
