GEARBOX REBUILD KITS, TR2, TR3, TR4, TR4A,
TR250, TR6
“Most of What You Need Under One Part Number”
These kits are pretty amazing, and I well remember when I made the first
two kits for TR250 and TR6.  I set up a catalogue studio in my house and
stayed home all winter writing a very successful catalogue for these models.  It
was very hard work but also very enjoyable.  Anyway, kits include a
countershaft, as listed in the following section, countershaft thrust washers, all
bearings including RHP mainshaft bearings, a set of synchros, gaskets, and a
little bit of hardware.

RHP BRAND GEARBOX MAINSHAFT BEARINGS,
TR2, TR3, TR4, TR4A, TR250, TR6
“The Price of OEM Mainshaft Bearings Recently Doubled...”
TRF sells RHP brand mainshaft bearings, and we always have.  They have
always been very high quality, and I have never heard of one failing in service.  We
are also listing a less-expensive replacement bearing now, as some customers have
requested them.

GEARBOX SYNCHRO CUPS, TR2, TR3, TR4, TR4A,
TR250, TR6, SPITFIRE, GT6
“All Synchros Are Not Created Equal”
TRF has tried all of the available synchro cups, and some of
them meet our standards for use in gearbox rebuilds at C.A.R.
Components, and some do not.  When they are checked, some of
them fit the gear cones as if they were already worn out.  Guess what
that means...  Your gears will be grinding again in no time.  This is
not rocket science, but some manufacturers and some parts venders
don't get it right.  We at TRF make every possible effort to do so.
That may mean that our synchro cups are slightly more expensive
than ones you will find elsewhere, but you want to be sure that you
are buying quality parts when they go that deep into your car.
