WOOD DASH PANELS IN A CHOICE OF MAHOGANY
OR FRENCH WALNUT, TR250
“Customers Have Been Asking for a Choice,,,”
TR250 was a transitional model between TR4A and TR6, largely a TR6 with a
TR4A body shell and some unique details, such as seats and badging.  Earlier this
year, we found a very original TR250 with a bookmatched mahogany dash having a
satin finish, and we also found such a dash among our collection of original dash
panels.  Therefore, we are adding this dash to our range along with the same dash in
a gloss finish.  Mahogany has a colour that is more orange and a tighter more
regular grain.  French walnut is a browner wood with a more distinct grain.  There
may be good reason to expect that both mahogany and French walnut dashes
appeared on TR250 examples.  You may want to make your choice based on
personal preference or on the dash originally fitted to your car if it still exists.  At
this point, we would suggest that the gloss finish is the least likely to be original, but
we are including it, as customers often request it.
