liner kits are available in 87mm size which
provides a little more displacement for any
TR2 or TR3 engine.  One nice feature of
these kits is the protective coating to
prevent corrosion on the outside surfaces of
the liners which contact the cooling water.

“Stops Rear Engine Leaks and Requires No Machining”
Sounds too good to be true, doesn't it,
considering all of the razzamatazz on this
subject over the years?  This seal was
developed by a German TR4 racer, Christian
Marx, who wanted a seal that works.  As an
engineer, he knew that Viton was a seal
material that would hold up even in extreme
conditions.  He wanted installation to be
easy, and his seal requires no machining of
the crankshaft.  We had offered this seal in
the past with a modified original seal
housing.  Now, Christian Marx has designed
a new seal housing, and this eliminates core
charges and sending your old seal back.  The
seal kit now includes the new anodized
aluminium seal housing, the Viton seal, and
professional-grade centering tool for
installation.  You can also purchase various
components separately, and TRF will
maintain stocks of replacement seals in
future.
I suggest that clubs purchase the kit one time to get the Christian Marx
installation tool.  This can be shared, and members may then purchase just the seal
and housing to save money.  I have used this seal in my engine, and I think it is the
way to go.  One of the good things is that no changes need be made to your original
engine components, and you can go back to original or in another direction in future
if you wish.
