"Replaces Zinc and Phosphorous Currently Being Removed
from Engine Oils"
New car manufacturers have worked with oil companies to remove zinc and
phosphorous from engine oils.  "SL" oils still retain some zinc and phosphorous,
and "SM" oils may be hazardous to your engine's health.  New car manufacturers
have compensated for low levels of zinc and phosphorous by fitting roller tappets
and low valve spring pressures, but zinc and phosphorous are critical to long life of
camshafts and tappets in engines with flat valve tappets.  If you don't know, all of
the engines serviced by TRF use flat valve tappets.
You can replace the zinc and phosphorous when you perform an oil change by
adding a 4 oz. bottle of ZDDPlus for every four or five quarts of oil.   I am using
ZFDDPlus in my TR3A, and I recommend it to customers.  I am offering a good
price during this weekend feature, but the best reason to use ZDDPlus is the
possibility that you will be doing expensive repairs on your engine as time goes on
if you don't...

WHAT OIL IS RECOMMENDED FOR CLASSIC
CARS?
"Brad Penn `Penn Grade 1' High-Performance Engine Oils
Rich in Zinc and Phosphorous Are What You Should Be
Using in Your Triumph Sports Car"
Oils manufactured for new cars today are not appropriate for
classic car engines with flat valve tappets and high valve-spring
pressures.  Classic car engines, such as those fitted to Triumph
sports cars, need zinc and phosphorous to protect high-wear
components such as flat valve tappets and cam lobes.  Zinc and
phosphorous were shown to damage catalytic converters in modern
cars, and the car manufacturers worked with major oil refineries to
remove them from the oils commonly available at auto parts
stores and service garages.
Brad Penn engine oils are produced from Pennsylvania Grade
Crude Oil, which has superior characteristics for refining into
engine lubricants.  All Brad Penn oils include a ZDDP additive
which provides the zinc and phosphorous required for classic engines.  Brad Penn
oils are refined at a very special address on Kendall Avenue in Bradford, located near
the northern border of Pennsylvania with New York.  Kendall and Amalie oils were
manufactured there, and TRF is proud to offer Brad Penn oils to our customers, as
Pennsylvania has always been famous for these high-quality engine lubricants.
