CARBURETTOR IDENTIFICATION CHECKLIST
· Metal tags attached to top cover screws should read
C3613LH
or
C3613RH
.
· Locate E.G.R. operating valve and bracket assembly
mounted under the cold start valve on the rear carb.
· Locate slanted pipes for attaching breather hoses on
front sides of both carbs in close to manifold.
· Locate horizontal breather attachment pipes on rear
sides of both carbs close to air cleaner faces.
· Locate vacuum fitting (copper pipe) on underside of
front carb near center of mounting flange.
· Locate screw-in vacuum fitting on upper side of rear
carb near center of mounting flange.
· Locate vacuum fittings on tops of bypass valves.
· Bypass valves are adjustable as indicated by small
adjusting screws in centers.
· Identification characters stamped on air cleaner faces
should be
T224
and
T225
with suffix letters
A
or
B
.
The prefix letter is sometimes omitted or moves to a
suffix position.
· Check cold start valves; cams will be stamped
SRZ
,
and bodies should be marked
A3
and sometimes
B4
.
BA37
lever should be made of die-cast metal rather than steel.
· These carbs are easy to identify, as they are the only TR6
carbs with the E.G.R. operating valve, but the surest way to
identify your carbs is to retain the identification tags.
